The rules of the wall

ADVERTISING POLICY

The crown is the most visible ad on the internet. That visibility is the product โ€” so we protect it. Our line is simple: legal-and-honest vs. fraudulent. Not sleazy vs. clean. If it's legal and honest, it can bid. If it's a scam, it can't โ€” no matter how much it pays.

Banned โ€” no exceptions

These get rejected before they ever appear, and removed if they slip through. There is no amount of money that buys an exception โ€” one scam on the crown undoes a hundred legitimate advertisers.

  • Fraud and scams: phishing, fake products, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, advance-fee cons, counterfeit goods.
  • Impersonation: pretending to be another brand, person, or public figure you are not.
  • Illegal products and services: anything illegal where the advertiser operates or where the ad would run โ€” drugs, weapons, unlicensed financial services, and the like.
  • Deceptive claims: "guaranteed returns," fake reviews, fabricated endorsements, before-and-after images that aren't real.

Allowed โ€” with honest claims

Legal businesses in sensitive categories are welcome. Honesty is the whole requirement.

  • Licensed gambling and casinos: fine where the operator is properly licensed. Ads must follow local rules and never target minors.
  • Diet, weight-loss, and wellness: fine with honest, substantiated claims โ€” the FTC's standard. "Lose 30 pounds in a week" is a lie and gets rejected; real results with real caveats are welcome.
  • Adult-legal products: allowed if legal and not deceptive; creatives must be tasteful enough for a public wall.

Crypto โ€” tiered by legitimacy

Crypto projects live on a spectrum, so the policy is tiered, not binary.

  • Established projects โ€” real teams, real products, real track records โ€” advertise like any other business.
  • New or anonymous projects and memecoins must prove legitimacy before they can hold a slot: a verifiable team or entity, a working product or audited contract, and a public record we can check.
  • Never allowed: "guaranteed returns," promises of profit, or any claim about future price. Financial promotion rules apply everywhere we operate.

Verification before you shine

Every advertiser is verified before their creative goes fully public. Bidding is instant โ€” your bid appears on the board right away with a verifying badge so you never lose the moment โ€” and full display follows verification, usually within minutes at launch volume. Verification confirms you are who you say you are and that the business is real.

Creative review โ€” every time

Every creative is reviewed by a human before it goes live. Swapping your creative? That re-prompts the review โ€” a new creative means a new check, no exceptions. This is how the wall stays clean without slowing down the auction.

If we remove you

  • Honest mistakes get refunded. If your creative broke a rule you didn't know about, we remove the slot and refund what you paid. Fix it, re-verify, come back.
  • Refund timing. Refunds are processed within 10 business days of approval. Once processed, allow 5โ€“10 business days for the refund to appear in your account (your bank's processing time, not ours).
  • Unverified expiry. If your brand isn't verified within 6 days, you get a full automatic refund within 10 business days.
  • Fraud forfeits. If you scammed, impersonated, or knowingly broke the banned list, your slot is removed and your payment is forfeited. You don't get a second crown.
  • Removals are public. A removed slot is marked "removed for policy violation" on the board. No silent disappearances โ€” the audience deserves to see the wall being kept clean.

Community flags โ€” humans decide

Anyone can flag a slot they think breaks this policy. Flags go to a human review queue, prioritized by count โ€” and past a threshold, the slot gets an under review badge while it's checked.

Flags never auto-remove a slot. Ever. Auto-removal on vote count would be a weapon: competitors could brigade a rival off the crown. A human makes every removal call, and every call points back to this policy โ€” never personal judgment.
